# Sharing a video with a homeowner

Turn on a link, no account required, switch it off anytime.

## Turn on Share

Open the finished video, either by clicking its tile or from the direct video page, and find the **Share** switch in the action row alongside **Download**, **Make it sharper**, and **Delete**. Flip it on and RenderSplash creates a link, then click the copy icon next to it.

## What the homeowner sees

Send that link by text or email. The customer opens it on their own phone or laptop, no account, no app, no sign-in of any kind, and sees the video playing large on its own page, with your business name underneath the title.

## It is unlisted and signed

A share link is unlisted and signed. It is not searchable, and it is not listed anywhere a stranger could stumble onto it, only someone with the exact link can open it. Nobody sees it unless you send it to them.

## Turning it off

Flip the same **Share** switch off whenever you want, and the link stops working immediately. This is useful once a job is decided and you no longer want that link circulating, or if you sent it to the wrong person by mistake. Turning it back on later creates the link fresh.

## What it is not

A share link does not download a file to the customer's device on its own, it plays the video on the page. If you want them to have the file itself, use **Download** and send it directly.

Worth saying to a customer before they watch: RenderSplash videos are AI-generated visualizations of the design. They show design intent, not a guarantee of the finished build, its materials, or its exact dimensions. Framing it that way up front heads off any confusion later about what the video is meant to promise.
