# Your first video, start to finish

Upload renders, pick a quality, and make your first video.

Updated 2026-09-19.

## Open a project

From **Projects**, click **+ New project**, name it, and you land in the workspace. This is one screen: a grid for your videos, and a floating bar at the bottom called the composer. That bar is where everything happens.

## Add your renders

In the composer, tap the **+** tile in the ingredients row and pick your rendered stills, JPEG or PNG, straight from your design software. You need at least one. Most jobs work well with three to six angles: a wide establishing shot, a corner three-quarter view, and whatever angle the homeowner would actually stand at.

Two more chips sit beside your renders: **Flythrough** and **2D plan**. Both are optional. Add a flythrough MP4 if your software exported one, and your 2D plan (PNG, PDF, or DXF) if you have it. Neither is required to make a video, but both help RenderSplash understand the space.

If you want to call out something specific, a raised spa wall, a particular material, type it into the **Anything to highlight?** field.

## Pick your quality and light

Two pills sit above the button. **Quality** sets the resolution: Draft, HD, Full HD, or 4K, each showing what it costs in credits. **Lighting** sets the time of day: As rendered, Midday, Golden hour, Dusk, or Night. For your first attempt, leave Quality on **Draft** and try a look. A draft costs half what a finished video does, so there is little to lose in trying one before you commit to a finished video.

## Press Make video

The round button with the play icon is **Make video**. Beside it, a small line tells you the cost before you press it, for example "5 credits · 95 left this month" or "10 credits · 90 left this month." Press it and the tile appears in the grid above, working through a few plain-word steps. It usually takes 2 to 4 minutes, and you can close the page and come back.

## Watch it and decide

When it says **Done**, click the tile to open it. You will see the clip playing, with **Download**, **Share**, **Make it sharper**, and **Delete** underneath. If the angle or the light is not what you wanted, go back to the composer, change your renders, notes, or lighting, and make another draft. Once it looks right, raise **Quality** to HD or higher and make the version you will actually show.
