Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account information: your name, email, business name, and password when you sign up. Your password is stored as a hash, not as plain text.

Content you upload: rendered stills, flythrough videos, 2D plans, 3D files, and site photos you give us to make a video, plus the finished videos we generate for you.

Payment information: collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. We never see or store your card number.

Usage information: basic technical logs, such as IP address, browser, and the pages requested, that help us run and secure the service.

Anything you send us directly: messages through our contact form, and anything you tell us by phone or email.

Cookies

We use two kinds of cookie, and neither one follows you to another website.

• Signing in. A cookie that signs you in and keeps you signed in, provided through Supabase, our authentication provider. Without it you would have to sign in on every page.
• Remembering how you left a screen. A cookie that stores whether the sidebar in our staff console is open or closed. It holds one word and is only set for our own staff.

We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, and Umami, an open-source analytics tool we run on our own server, to see which pages get used, where the site is confusing, and how many people finish a step such as signing up, sending the contact form, or buying a plan or credits. They record the page address, the site that sent you, your browser, device type and country, and the name of the step, with the plan or amount for a purchase. Neither sets a cookie, neither follows you to other sites, and both give us counts rather than people. We cannot use them to identify you.

Who processes your data

We use the following companies to run RenderSplash:

• Supabase for our database, file storage, and account sign-in, hosted in the us-east-1 region (Virginia, United States).
• Stripe to process subscription payments and credit purchases.
• Vercel to host the website and the application, and for cookieless website analytics.
• OpenAI, Google, and BytePlus, whose models generate the photoreal key frames and the finished video from the files you upload.

We do not use your uploads or your finished videos to train models. Not ours, not anyone else's.

Where your data is stored

Your account data, uploads, and videos are stored on Supabase infrastructure in the us-east-1 region. Storage buckets are private: a file is only ever reachable through a short-lived signed link generated at the moment you or your team view it.

How long we keep it

Uploads and finished videos are kept for 12 months so you can come back to a job, and you can delete any of it yourself at any time. If you close your account, we delete your content within a reasonable period afterward, except where we need to keep something briefly for a legal or accounting reason.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, or delete most of your account information directly inside RenderSplash. To request a full copy or deletion of your data, or if you are a California resident exercising a right under the CCPA to know what we collect, to delete it, or to opt out of its sale, email privacy@rendersplash.com. We do not sell personal information.

Children

RenderSplash is a business tool for outdoor construction companies. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do.
